Ming-Kuang Lu, King of Acquisition
Mr. Ming-Kuang Lu serves as the Chairman and CEO of Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. and Actron Technology Corp. He previously worked for Texas Instruments, Lite-On Group, and Sino-American Silicon Products Inc., and is the founder of Actron Technology Corp. During his career, Mr. Lu has led more than 10 successful mergers and acquisitions, turning around many companies for rapid growth and continued innovation. His outstanding leadership has made him a “King of Acquisition.”

During his tenure in Lite-On Group, Mr. Lu reorganized Lite-On’s subsidiary Silitek Corp. and made it the most profitable rubber business in Taiwan at that time. Following that he continued to rectify the problems of the Group’s other affiliates associated with rubber, connectors, semiconductors and electronic assembly industries. For most businesses, he could help them turn a profit in a short time and even sell them to foreign firms.
Because of his excellence in management, Mr. Lu was invited to be the Chairman of Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. after his retirement from Lite-On Group. During his term, he directed six cross-border mergers and acquisitions, resulting in revenues increasing by more than eight times over the decade. Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. has grown from a local semiconductor manufacturer to the world’s third largest silicon wafer fab, with a monthly capacity of 1 million units of 8” wafers and 750,000 units of 12” wafers.
Mr. Lu has served in the semiconductor industry for more than 40 years. From foreign companies to local enterprises, from a business manager to a company chairman, he witnessed the vigorous development of Taiwan’s electronics industry and fueled Taiwan’s economic miracle. Mr. Lu values employees and talents. He also emphasizes R&D investment, allocating 3-6% of the company’s revenues as its R&D funds. Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. and Actron Technology Corp., under his leadership, were both listed as top 5% performers in the Corporate Governance Evaluation held by Taiwan Stock Exchange and Taipei Exchange.
