Yingzhi Gao, Founder of Asia’s Largest Synthetic Resin Supplier
Yingzhi Gao founded Eternal Materials Co. in 1964. The company is known as a supplier for synthetic resins for coatings, and in 1985, the company began to include electronic chemical materials and produce printed circuit boards. Yingzhi Gao, Founder of Eternal Materials. Co.
When Mr. Gao started in the paint industry, resin, a crucial raw material for paint production, was mostly imported from Japan, so to meet domestic needs he decided to establish Eternal Materials Co. Initially he transferred the technology from Japan, lifting the company’s annual growth to 20%. Later he established Eternal’s Research and Development Institute to develop core material technology on its own to sustain its competitiveness. With its solid R&D results and self-developed raw materials, Eternal Materials Co. lowers costs while increasing the competitive advantage of Taiwan’s semiconductor and optoelectronics industries. Its strategy of product diversification also allows the company to have a complementary effect, ensuring stable profits and growth in the dynamic economic environment.
Other than dry-film photoresists, Eternal Materials Company is also the world’s second largest UV curable materials manufacturer and Asia’s largest in synthetic resins. In 2013, the company transformed from producing chemical materials to suppling key materials for emerging industries such as green energy/energy storage, biomedicine, soft electronics, and advanced components. Mr. Gao has made a great contribution to society; he has cultivated talents, provided university scholarships, and donated a library and an academic building to encourage students to study hard and learn more.
